Welcome Forskills and Edexcel!

Welcome ForSkills!

Another day, another excellent learning partner secured by Amdas Training. When we began to look at the learner journey in detail we all recognised that one of the most crucial moments is diagnostics. It's strange, when you have been in training and used the same product for years you can sometimes miss the boat on what competitors are delivering. ForSkills is a fresh, accessible tool that really accommodates learners that may have an additional learning need. We are ambitious for all of our learners to be given the best possible opportunity to not only meet the minimum requirements of their course, we want our learners to excel and achieve Level 2 where only Level 1 is required. We want our Level 3 learners to be confident to use English skills such as referencing that you may not expect to see at this level. We want our learners to embed statistics into their research projects enhancing their work.

We are ambitious, We are Amdas Training.

Welcome Onefile

May 08, 2017

After looking at what seemed like an endless list of e-portfolio systems Amdas Training have settled on Onefile as our e-portfolio partner. What a fantastic product! We are so proud to be associated with such a well thought out and flexible portfolio. Aside from being a seriously neat piece of technology Onefile has built in Gateway assessment testing. To have a specific measure of the learners readiness for End Point as well as the Gateway Interview means our learners have great preparation to succeed and secure distinctions at EOP!

RoATP Success!

May 17, 2017

Amdas Training is very proud to be announced on the government approved training provider register. This is a huge success for us as a new enterprise when so many well established companies have failed to pass the rigorous quality procedure.

We are so excited to have the opportunity to begin delivering our bespoke courses! If you are interested in exploring apprenticeships get in touch:

Bespoke Team Leading with Pearson

May 20, 2017

It's been yet another busy day for Amdas Training, today we have loved meeting with a business in central London and looking at how their fantastic management academy could follow Sainsbury's example and be transformed into full apprenticeships. As a team we are experienced in working with SASE Frameworks but the New Standards introduced by the government are absolutely fantastic. Yes, as a trainer it is far more work intensive but the courses are highly engaging and relate so closely back to each individuals job role the pay off is well and truly worth it!

Customer Service is Fit for Business!

May 27, 2017

The Amdas Team have been up to York and down to Tunbridge Wells this week talking to leading quality experts to ensure that our courses will be high in quality but also fit for business. At Amdas Training our courses go through a four stage quality process. Firstly each course is quality assured by staff or consultants holding EQA status. We then work with our employers and leading industry experts to standardise each course to ensure it is fit for the workplace. What sounds great to a teacher or trainer may not always work in real business! We then run a focus group of our own trainers to get their feedback - they are delivering the material after all! All of our trainers are involved throughout the process so this step is an extension of their close input. Finally we run courses through a focus group of previous learners to get their feedback. Throughout the learner journey we encourage reflection and evaluation at all times, we are ambitious to continue improving which in turn helps our learners achieve and accelerate in their careers.

It's the Amdas Way!

FE Festival of Skills

June 1, 2017

One of the main events in the training calendar is fast approaching, the FE Week Festival of skills and this year is slightly different.  Our Training ops manager has been invited to speak about apprenticeships, specifically on what new training providers can bring to the market.  With today being the 1st of June, it's time to get writing that presentation!

New Standards V's Frameworks

September 7, 2017

Apprenticeship courses can work on two different methods, they can either be delivered via Frameworks or by Standards.  You get an apprenticeship at the end of both so what's the difference?

Frameworks tend to be very prescriptive, built around a set group of qualifications with criteria that often feels removed from you specific work environment.  The government conducted a report into Framework delivery and found that the courses were not preparing many apprentices for their job role.  Instead, working with sector specific companies as varied as Boots and British Gas new 'Standards' have been created.

Amdas Training have fully invested in delivering new standards only due to their flexibility and the fact that they have been marked as fit for modern business by industry leaders.

The new Standards are exciting, fresh and highly relevant to each individual company.  Apprentices can have fully tailor made courses to suit their specific job role and need.

With all of the benefits of new Standards, why would anyone still choose Frameworks?

University is not the only way to a high flying career

October 7, 2017

For as long as I can remember the brightest pupils have always followed the same path in education.  GCSE'S - A-Levels - University.

But times are FINALLY changing!  Degrees are no longer as vital or held in the same esteem as they used to be.  Don't believe me?  Most recently Ernst and Young have removed the requirement to have a degree level education for their entry level job specifications.  So why are top employers turning away from traditional education routes?

Well, one of the primary reasons is the skills

20% off the job?

January 10, 2018

Happy New Year to all of our learners and employers!  At the start of a New Year each of us reflects on the previous 12 months.  As we've reflected on 2017 the same question has been buzzing around the Amdas Training Team, how can we help our clients better understand the 20% off the job rule?  Many companies imagine 1 day a week every apprentice in a company needs to report to a local college for a day of classroom teaching which is just plain wrong!  To begin to help clarify the 20% off the job ruling and other common questions, the social media team is beginning to design some short video's kicking off with the 20% off the job rule explained.  Roll on 2018!
